Inventory and Cleaning of Artefact Storage
The month of August has been a busy one for the summer Curatorial Assistants here at the Museum of Health Care. In order to prepare for a large incoming dentistry collection, our medium size basement storage has undergone a significant inventory and cleaning. Adrian Stephens has been going through the entire room (holding more than 780 artefacts) doing a quick clean, noting each artefact’s location for our database, and also recording any available space remaining on the shelves. During this time, Grace Dungavell has been performing a detailed cleaning of all the artefacts on Bay’s A and B and also properly supporting/packaging those artefacts so that they will last for generations to come. After weeks of work, not only is the Museum ready to gain new artefacts, but guests visiting our basement storage facilities will be able to see a very organised space indeed!
