The Museum of Health Care offers hands-on programs and tours for grades K-12 and university classes, adult education programs, and summer day camps. Our dynamic guides will bring Canada's health care story to life for you and your group!
Students of all ages have the opportunity to explore the history of health care and make connections to their own lives.
Program Options
Select and combine program options to design a unique learning experience for your group! All programs are modified and adapted to each age level.
Reflect & Detect

Ages 4-10 · 20 minutes
Students discover the tools that were invented and the major changes that occurred in health care between 1800 and 1900. After learning how and why reflector headbands were used by health care professionals students create their own personalized reflector headbands during a craft activity.
Construct-a-Skeleton

Ages 4-10 · 20 minutes
How many bones do we have inside of us? How can we protect our bones and keep them healthy? What is a hinge joint and how does it help us to move? Students learn about the bones and joints in the human body and then work in groups to correctly assemble a skeleton.

Fees & payment options:
Group programs and tours are offered at a group rate of $3 per student (no charge for group leaders/supervisors). Only cash and cheque payments can be accepted (no credit or debit).
