Every year on Family Day, the Museum of Health Care transforms into a special medical hub—just for stuffed animals! The Teddy Bear Hospital is a playful, hands-on program designed to help children feel more comfortable in health care settings by letting them take the lead as caregivers.
Young visitors bring their stuffed animals for a “check-up” and move through a series of activity stations where they meet friendly volunteers acting as health professionals. Along the way, they learn about common medical tools, build trust in the health care process, and gain confidence through imaginative role play.
Whether their teddy needs a bandage, a stethoscope exam, or a little encouragement, children leave feeling empowered—and often eager to return. This popular event is especially meaningful for families navigating medical fears or past experiences with hospital care.
