This exhibit traces the physical evolution of pacemakers between the 1960s and the 1990s, especially the decrease in size and weight, external to internal implantation, components and materials, and fixed vs. adjustable rates. |
The Museum's pacemaker collection is the result of the collecting efforts of Dr. Roxroy West. A native of Trinidad and Kingston resident, Dr. West's expertise in pacemaker technology benefited patients, students, nurses, and physicians.
